Why We Started
Hi, I'm Abdul Shakur Caesar.
Just a little about me: I studied philosophy and computer science at UNC, and I worked as an engineer at SAS here in Cary before going all in on this. Philosophy taught me to ask who a system actually serves; engineering taught me to go build the answer. Off the clock I read more than I probably should, I'm a stubborn Tar Heel fan, and you'll usually find me hiking somewhere near the water.
I started Spiffy Tecbecause I kept noticing the same quiet unfairness: good businesses losing real customers to a problem they never knew they had. A website that looked broken, loaded too slowly, or didn't exist at all. The work was honest. The storefront just didn't say so.
The fix had existed for years, but it cost $20,000 and six months, which made it a fix only for people who already had money. Everyone else made do with a Wix template, a half-finished page, or nothing, and every day a few more customers quietly went elsewhere.
Spiffy Tec exists to close that gap. A real, custom-built website for any business, not just the ones with the budget for one. Not a template, not a page builder.
